Philadelphia ranks 5th in “Clean Jobs”

What is a “clean” job?

According to the article, clean jobs are defined as “all jobs that produce goods and services that benefit the environment, and public mass transit benefits the environment by providing a more energy-efficient mode of transportation to work.”

Out of the 100 largest metro areas, Philadelphia was ranked 5th; just behind New York, LA, Chicago, and DC.

Not bad.

The idea…

Reduce storm water runoff, add more green space to the city, and create another environment for urban wildlife. The city partnered up with Roofmeadow to complete the project; 20 more have already been planned for this year.
